Wind Direction
During deer season knowing what direction the wind is coming from is very important. A successful hunt rests on the hunters ability to get into an area with out being detected. And scent is a sure give away for deer. If you take a small piece of unscented dental floss, attach it to a stick and hold the stick out away from your body you will be able to tell wind direction, or if the wind changes direction.
If you are hunting from a tree stand or blind just attach your dental floss to the stand or blind and you will always know the direction of the wind.
