Spring Classic
The SANDS program held its first Annual Spring Classic on Saturday May 20th 2006.
The day started off cool and over cast with some sprinkles.
This was an open tournament so that any species of fish that was caught could be weighed.
The winning team was decided by the heavest stringer.
Tropies were given to first through tenth place as well as trophies for Big Fish and Little Fish.
There were Bass Pro Shops gift certificates given to the first and second place teams.
And a new rod/reel combo given to the third place team.
Eight teams participated in the event.
The 8th place team was Dugger & Burgess with 1/2 pound
The 7th place team was Heisner & Brown with 2 pounds
The 6th place team was Sharman & Ficke with 2.7 pounds
The 5th place team was Swinarski & Kalskett with 5.1 pounds
The 4th place team was Petersen & Burgess with 7.5 pounds
The 3rd place team was Herringer & Herringer with 12.2 pounds
The 2nd place team was Johansen & Huber with 16.1 pounds
The 1st place team was Swinarski & Swinarski with 22.7 pounds
Big fish went to Donna Swinarski with a 9.6 pound catch
Little fish went to Brittany Burgess

I would like to thank Jerry Walker of the C.A.T. club for all his help with this event.
Jerry supplied me with information and ideas on how to run the event.
He also provided us with baskets for the fish and the scale.
I would also like to thank Dave Brown of the Nebraska Bass Federation, for all of his help with the tournament
